Here's what you've missed at our meetings...
On September 18, 2017 we were joined by the team of young adults our club sponsored for RYLA.  They had wonderful stories to share and are impressive people. It is clear that our investment in RYLA is so worthwhile.
 
We were joined on October 3, 2017 by Tyler Elm (Club 40) and McKenzie MacFarlane (Twin Ports Rotoract) to discuss re-energizing the UWS Rotoract Club.  Johanna and Tony will be working with McKenzie and others to start this process.
 
Warren Bender notified the club on 10/3 that he has FOUR FREE tickets to Club 40’s Craft Beer and Wine Tasting on 10/10/17. If you are interested in these, let Tony know – guerra.tony@gmail.com
 
Those who helped with Parking at the Insane Inflatable 5K had a great time.Their time will earn $400 for our club!
 
Paul Frost is organizing volunteers for evaluating Senior Projects at Superior Senior High School.  The next date is November 15, 2017.  Evaluations begin at 4:00 pm.  Contact Paul at paul.frost@krausanderson.com to volunteer.  The remaining dates  for the 2017-18 year are:

The Twin Ports Rotary Foundation Dinner will be held on November 8, 2017 at Barker’s Island. More details will be coming soon.
 
October 24, 2017 is World Polio Day. Rotary International has a website for this cause: https://www.endpolio.org/world-polio-day

Looking ahead to the holiday season….  We will be ringing bells for the Salvation Army. Paul is coordinating this project. We will be volunteering at Bentleyville, likely the last week in November (28th or 29th) and incorporation our Fourth Tuesday Moonrise Rotary Meeting with the project.  Tony will be scheduling the night to volunteer.  We will also be adopting a family through the Salvation Army.  Rick Flaherty is coordinating.  
 
 
The 2017 Lake Superior Ice Festival has asked up to again help with parking on January 27, 2017.  We also have been invited to host a beer tent by the SS Meteror.  Please SAVE THE DATE on your calendars. With parking and beer tent duties, we will absolutely need your friends, significant others and kids to help.
