Superior Sunrise Centennial Rotary Club

Updates from November

The club secretary has been slacking again.  Here are the highlights from our very busy November!

November 8, 2016 featured Kayla Dietzmann from NorthForce.  NorthForce is an initiative aimed at workforce development for the norther Wisconsin and Minnesota region. They maintain an online database that strategically matches quality employers with job candidates who are choosing the northland. Their brand is "North By Choice" and they provide assistance to both employers and employees.  On the employer side, they assist with reviewing job descriptions, salary offerings, other benefits, and help businesses design positions to attract quality candidates. For employees, they work with matching education, experience, skills and interests so that candidates are placed in jobs they will want to stay with.  NorthForce works with numerous higher education institutions doing presentations and presenting information about job and career choices to students. You can learn more about NorthForce at northforce.org.

November 15, 2016 our club hosted the Twin Ports Foundation Dinner. We raised $730 on our paint stick fundraiser!  Thank you to the Andersons who made this possible!  The dinner was featured in the District Newsletter too!

November 22, 2016 was our club foundation day.  Forms were distributed for your pledges/donations. A couple of our members received recognition too.  James Anderson was pinned as a Paul Harris Fellow.  Gerry Anderson received his 2nd sapphire pin.  Our club received a banner for our 100% Paul Harris membership.
